  • What: each piece with its item number, a description and the memo value.

Frequently asked questions

What is a jewelry memo?

A memo, short for memorandum, sends goods to another business to show or sell without selling them outright. Ownership stays with the sender until the goods are paid for, and anything unsold comes back by an agreed date.

Is this memo agreement legally binding?

It is a sample to adapt, not legal advice. Laws differ by state, so have your attorney review it before you use it.

Who is responsible if a memo piece is lost or stolen?

Whatever your agreement says. Many memo terms put the risk on the business holding the goods, which is why insurance matters. Make sure yours says it plainly.
